This is the wall at Richter Pass. It's
a tough climb, but at least there is
a good bike lane all the way up.
This shot was taken 2 days before
the race.
As, you might have guessed, this is not
me. However, this picture gives a good
view looking into the valley from the
climb towards Richter Pass.

Headed out on the Bike. I am probably joking

point.
This is the climb
to Richter Pass.
This is Yellow Lake. It does look
yellow, don't you think?
2250 athletes begin the swim. Can
you find me?

At 5 a.m., I am headed out
the door for my big day.
Nigel’s athletes, from the left, Cam, Lianne, me, Adam and
Joe, on the Thursday before the race. We all look confident
standing proud at the side of the road at the Richter Pass
summit. I wasn't smiling the next time I came through here.
